As we are getting deeper into the school year, it is not unlikely to find yourself overwhelmed with homework, tests, and studying. It can be really difficult to balance all of your classes and give them equal time and attention. However, many sisters have discovered some homework and study tricks that can help you preform the best academically. Here is what some women had to say:
āMore relevant to how we are learning in the midst of COVID – if you are online, still taking notes and working how you normally would even if you could just download a PowerPoint. Writing things down and working as if you were actually in a class is much more beneficial!āĀ -Maizy Sutherland
āI personally make a schedule for each week! I look to see what is due and write down assignments, studying, tests, and quizzes I need to get done for each day of the week. I set aside and designate times during the day to complete each thing. This helps me stay accountable and organized. Spreading the workload throughout the week helps me to stay on schedule and decreases my stress.ā -Madeline Kalscheur
āUse the Pomodoro Technique! Study/focus on a task for 25 minutes without any distractions and then take a 5 min break. Repeat for as many intervals as you can handle. Youād be surprised at how much you can get done in that short period.ā -Anna Tri
āBe intentional about scheduling in time for things that genuinely leave your soul, mind, and body refreshed. We all have things that give us that feeling leaves us motivated and refreshed. Someone reminded me that I can’t give my all if I don’t take time to fill up and rejuvenate. It’s not fair to yourself or fair to others.ā -Kelsey Todd
āIf planners arenāt your thing, and you own an Apple computer, use an electronic sticky note to list everything you have to do for the week! That way every time you open your computer, you see the list and remind yourself!ā -Emma Dirks
āFigure out your learning style! For example, do you learn better by reading, doing, seeing, etc.?ā -Brooke Dragone
We are so proud of all of our sisters for their dedication to their academics. Delta Gamma knows that you will all do so much good within your careers after graduation, but donāt forget to make time for taking care of yourself, too. Good luck with the rest of the semester, sisters!Ā
